In the first six months of this year, 38 aircraft of PIA flights reported bird hit. Five of these planes sustained damage.
These bird strike incidents occurred in Pakistan and abroad. PIA aircraft involved in bird hits included 31 Airbus A320s and 3 Boeing 777s.
Most of these bird strike incidents happened during takeoff, landing and approach phases of flight to/from airports of following cities including:
14 x Lahore
7 x Islamabad
4 x Multan
1 x Sukkur
1 x Faisalabad
1 x Gilgit
1 x Jeddah
1 x Dubai
