I think this ban has less to do with PIA and more to do with Civil Aviation Authority and the newer Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.

they are not functioning like they should be. More ex Airforce buddies than competent people running the organization.

I think if PCAA and CAA do not fix their problems Pakistani airlines will continue to suffer.

Its not the Airlines who are banned ,its the regulatory authority i.e CAA Pakistan which is banned but they have kept their mouth shut on this.Tons of incompetent people at PCAA especially at Flight Standards and Licensing office who were hired on references without any merit getting hefty salaries/Allowances are just blackmailing stake holders those who come under them. CAA needs a big over haul !!

Far too many people have died in entirely avoidable incidents in Pakistan in the last two decades. Each time instead of improving, flights standards become worse. This is forcing rectification. As with anything, no pain, no gain.

November 21 is the last day of EASA three-day meeting that began in Brussels on November 19.

Decision on Pakistani airlines commercial passenger/cargo flights to European Union (EU) member states expected after the end of EASA meeting

A report has also been submitted by Pakistan's aviation regulatory body Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) for EASA meeting.
