PIA ATR Gets Hit by Vehicle at Karachi Airport

According to news report on following link, a PIA ATR got hit by water supply vehicle at Karachi Airport. The collision caused minor damage to lower section of the aircraft. There were no passengers aboard the aircraft at the time of incident.

The aircraft is expected to become operational soon after inspections/repairs.

Today it has also been highlighted that AP-BHI navigation system is faulted and now BHH..... Looks everything considered plan!

PIA ATR 42-500 aircraft registration AP-BHH damaged by airline's ground support/water supply vehicle at Karachi Airport.

The ATR was being prepared to perform flight PK8300 from Karachi to Islamabad. The flight has been cancelled.

PIA flight PK8300 to Islamabad scheduled to leave Karachi at 6:00 AM was cancelled at 10:00 AM.

The turboprop aircraft has been sent to maintenance hangar for inspections/repairs at Karachi Airport.

PIA ATR 42-500 aircraft registration AP-BHH had become inactive in late April 2024 probably for maintenance checks by PIA Engineering at Karachi Airport. Apparently the aircraft was being prepared to return to the skies today (July 13).
