Why not divert back to LHE? Its not like distance is too big. Perhaps to pick up some passengers stranded in MUX?

PK248 is PIA Dammam to Lahore flight. Probably the aircraft diverted to Multan due to bad weather/rain in Lahore.
PIA Boeing 777-300ER aircraft registration AP-BHV Dammam to Lahore flight PK248 had descended to 5,975 feet altitude near Lahore around 2:07 PM before climbing and diverting to Multan where it landed around 2:51 PM
