PIA invites quotations and sealed bids from renowned vendors for repair and overhaul of General Electric GE90 family engines installed on Boeing 777 aircraft in airline's fleet.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) invites proposals from interested parties for the repair & overhaul of GE90 series engines installed on Boeing 777 aircraft in airline's fleet.

Services must include following:

* Complete repair/overhaul of GE90 series engine with up to date MOD status. (i.e. incorporation of all applicable ADs, mandatory/recommended SB's)
* Quick turn repair
* On-site quick turn repair by on-wing support option
* Availability of loaner engine to support operations of aircraft
* Bidder can bid for one or both engines repair

Services required for:

GE90 engine removed from engine number 1 position of PIA Boeing 777-300ER aircraft registration AP-BHV on April 3, 2024.
GE90 engine removed from engine number 2 position of PIA Boeing 777-200LR aircraft registration AP-BGZ on April 4, 2024.

All PIA does is place adds for work that never gets done.

Did PIA ever lease or get engines for grounded 777 fleet??

Three 777s are probably grounded because PIA does not have engines.

Why not buy a few older engines and get three 777s in revenue service. Stop trying to lease them, with PIA financial situation I do not think any airline will supply PIA with leased equipment.
