PIA Flight Attendant Disappears in Toronto

According to news sources, a PIA flight attendant has gone missing after arriving in Toronto as cabin crew member of airline's flight from Pakistan. He failed to report for duty on airline's flight to Pakistan from Toronto.

In recent times, a number of PIA flight attendants have disappeared after arriving in Toronto to seek asylum in Canada.

Wow another one. Soon PIA will also be banned from Canada, and events like these might also affect EASA decisions.

So PIA just always have to carry at least one extra flight attendant, to help makeup the number given how regularly they disappear!

On a serious note, how does the flight operate with one man or woman down? Surely they need to have sufficient flight attendants for the aircraft and flight.

Only solution is that crew stays at airport hotels under lock where they cannot leave the hotel rooms.

There is no hotel available on the air side at YYZ. There is a Sheraton, but it is past customs and immigration located directly opposite to Terminal. May be PIA should hire Toronto based crew or dual citizens for YYZ flights.

According to details emerging on news media, PIA flight attendant Noor Sher disappeared in Canada after arriving in Toronto as cabin crew member of airline's Boeing 777 flight PK781 from Islamabad. His disappearance was reported to the concerned authorities after he failed to appear to perform duty on airline's flight from Toronto to Pakistan.

PIA has initiated proceedings against the said cabin crew member.

they will keep disappearing due to the unreliable conditions in Pakistan and within PIA being privatized.

Only solution is to hire Canadian Pakistani crew for this sector; btw, we will see similar disappearances when the US/UK/EU will be opened by chance

The flight attendant was probably cabin crew member of June 14 PIA Boeing 777 Islamabad to Toronto flight PK781. Maybe he failed to appear to perform duty on June 16 PIA Toronto to Karachi flight PK784.

Noor Sher had joined PIA as flight attendant in year 2003.
