About time they bring back AP-BHM which is long grounded. If either one of BHI or BHH face a technical issue, the whole ATR operations will be messed up.

On a separate note, they should also consider flights to Saidu Sharif Airport, Swat district gets lot's of tourist during this season.

The large ATR network in Sind and Balochistan plus Northern areas . How can PIA operate the network with 2 ATR42s.

Maybe the plan is to bring the grounded ATR72s back to service??

A PIA official in Chitral District sales office of the airline told DAWN that initially two flights would be operated on Saturdays and Tuesdays between Islamabad and Chitral and the frequency would be enhanced as per passenger bookings.

He said that the single fare had been fixed at PKR 13,500 for Pakistani national if booking was made a week before.

PIA flights to Chitral were started in early 1960s between Peshawar and Chitral that connected Chitral District with the rest of Pakistan for six months of the year after the closure of Lowari Pass due to snowfall.
