PIA Selling & Acquiring GE90 Engines

Sale of 10 General Electric GE90 family engines.
Acquisition of 2 General Electric GE90-115B engines on lease.

PIA Boeing 777 aircraft are powered by GE90 family engines.

Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in PIA fleet are powered by General Electric GE90-115B engines.

1 x GE90-94B engine
2 x GE90-115B engine

* Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in PIA fleet are powered by GE90-94B engines.
* Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in PIA fleet are powered by GE90-115B engines.

Preference will be given to the party bidding to purchase 10 GE90 engines offered by PIA with bid to offer 3 GE90 engines on lease to PIA.

If PIA is selling 10 engines and only getting 3 makes me wonder how many 777s will actually remain in service.

BGL and BHW are gone for good.

BID has gone through checks and probably the two engines are for BID.

I don't understand why PIA wants to acquire engines for such a short period. This is like the 5th time they are inviting bids and nobody is interested in dealing with PIA. Might as well arrange some funds and purchase the engines rather than leasing.
