On June 29, Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar cleared revised Planning Commission PC-I of new Gwadar International Airport.

The new airport is scheduled to become operational within the current calendar year.

20 senior management personnel belonging to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) completed their training course in Hainan, China, for new Gwadar International Airport management and operations.

The training course provided a comprehensive understanding of airport operations, airport management, aviation safety, aircraft maintenance, security and logistics.
