Batik Air's network out of Jakarta is limited to other Indonesian cities. Don't see them taking passengers beyond Jakarta. Mainly going to be an O&D route.

Ahh - cheap but not justified.
I just came back from KUL tour on Monday. Unfortunately I preferred Batik for direct flight but it turned out to be nightmare.
  • It's not only 6 hours of anxiety but a continuous anxiety the moment you purchase ticket as their schedule changes like a roller coaster
  • In 24 hours they changed flight time 3 times while flying from LHE to KUL on 02 Feb, 2024 - guess what? even after that flight was delayed. Again return flight was twice delayed and again delayed at departure on 12 Feb, 2024
  • They operate 737-8 or max (whatever) but overhead bins are smaller than a320 so I saw people fighting while they were asked to move carries to luggage
  • Food only to purchase / even water bottle too. Not even free snacks. Worst than American domestic economy flights. Meal taste or quality is not at least to our tastebuds being South-Asians, too much aroma and coconut fat.
  • No IFE, No charging outlets, No way of entertainment. You just sit by doing nothing for 6hours.
  • On return I downloaded a few netflix movies and charged mobile with laptop
  • Finally; KUL Airport is the last nail in the coffin. Too inconvenient terminals with massive queues on checkin, immigration and security check. Batik uses a terminal which has no food brands, so you have to go to other terminal via bus for food.
In my language I told everyone: Ager aapko koi baddua hai tu Malindo / Batik ka ticket le lo

At least PIA has food and 40 kg luggage! On a side note, Batik has started Istanbul. Must be a nightmare!

That’s true; I witnessed poor AP-BGK at KUL. Too dirty and rusty condition but still I missed flying in 777. Much better than Batik’s product.
