PAF Base Nur Khan, Chaklala, Rawalpindi, Pakistan
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has asked local police and commissioner to maintain and share data of individuals possessing weapons within five kilometres radius of PAF Base Nur Khan, Chaklala, Rawalpindi, for the purpose of record keeping.
In the past stray bullets have been found within airbase area.
On February 24, 2023, an aerial firing incident forced the closure of flight operations at PAF Base Nur Khan Airbase and disrupted departure of Prime Minister's VIP flight to Lahore. Roof of a vehicle belonging to prime minister's security team parked at the airbase was also penetrated by a stray bullet of aerial firing.
