KARACHI: In-flight kitchen standards will have to be raised to an international level, if PIA has to become a world-class airline fulfilling customers' needs and expectations.
Talking to a panel of hotel owners/connoisseurs, who were invited at PIA flight kitchen for a presentation of the menu, Mr. Tariq Kirmani said the change in menu is an ongoing process where each month a presentation is arranged for the selection of dishes for serving the passengers on board PIA flights.
In its endeavour to improve the standards of both the food and its presentation, PIA had for the first time invited hotel owners/ connoisseurs for their inputs and suggestions.
Mr Kirmani thanked the guests for their valuable ideas and inputs, which he said would certainly help PIA in providing world-class food to its passengers.

I couldn't agree with you more.Nasir wrote:PIA meals need a lot to be desired in terms of freshness, quality and presentation. No wonder PIA meals don't make it to the airlinermeals website.
Granted, Pakistani cuisine looks like a mound of "glop" (even though tasting heavenly), but asking major hotel chains' input is the right step.
