In a statement, Argentinian Ministry of Defense said: “The Ministry of Defense informs that, by means of a Public Credit Operations Authorization note, it has requested the inclusion for the 2022 Budget of the authorization to manage credit for up to $664m for the acquisition of multipurpose fighter aircraft, for the surveillance and control of the air space.

“Likewise, this ministry clarifies that it has not been issued regarding the purchase of supersonic aircraft of any origin and is in the technical-economic and financial evaluation stage of five alternatives.”

The Argentine Defense Ministry published a statement denying previous claims that the country has selected the JF-17 as its next fighter jet.

The statement most likely came as a reaction to numerous reports claiming that Argentina was about to purchase the fighter jet from Pakistan.

Any Argentina JF-17 deal would include ten single seaters and two dual seaters.

Argentina like Pakistan is broke and living on borrowed money.

Giving Argentina credit is like giving money to Pakistan, never paid back, just roll over.

Argentina is worst country at this point of time with respect of Inflation. Pakistan is also in top 10 too.

What Argentina could do is to take the Aircraft, Paint it like "Long Live Pakistan friend Ship" - Rename some Street on the name of Pakistani leader name and that's pretty much it.

That's what Pakistan do with Saudi Arab and with Turkey.

Argentina has signed an agreement with Denmark for purchase of 28 Danish F16s . This precludes the possibility of acquisition of JF17, rumoured to be considered as an option for Argentina.
