Re: PIA Lahore to Karachi Airbus A320 Flight Crashes
RIP Pakistani Journalism especially Geo
1. "It has been confirmed that landing gears were not down during first landing" - even aliens living on mars know that. Dude...go read the interim report, pictures have been posted there
2. "PIA and CAA, both did not confess of landing without landing gears down" - Then who confessed in interim report
3. "Why ATC gave permission to go around when airplane had belly landing?" - Holy smokes......can ATC deny an aircraft which intends to going around from not going around? Like really?
4. "Aircraft should have been asked to stop on the ground" - Anyone who can read somebody's intentions?
5. "PALPA demanding (PIA) pilots to be included in the investigation process because PALPA is the stakeholder" - this is perhaps the best decision by SIB to include Airblue pilots instead of PIA in the investigation team. More chances of impartiality.

Re-opens the tragic wounds. Had it not been the loss of so many precious lives, I would call this accident a comic account of all what commercial aviation in Pakistan is about. Ignorant, in-capable, un-professional, un-qualified.adamalikhan wrote: Fri Dec 11, 2020 5:58 pm Geo news is claiming a new video has been released showing the first failed landing of the aircraft
Apologies if my remarks hurt.

I haven't kept in touch with this for a while. Any news of why the crash happened, as in why they started descending so late? why they did not open the landing gear? why they did not pay attention to any warnings? and why the transcript is not part of the interim report?

PIA plane crashed because of pilot’s mistake as there was no issue of safety or any system anomaly, says a Pakistan CAA official.

Cash in millions of rupees found at the crash site of flight PK8303 including in a suit case to be deposited in national exchequer.
Authorities were unable to determine rightful claimants for the cash.
A number of persons attempted to claim the cash but they were unable to provide required information like exact cash amount found in the suit case and transaction details.
