Re: ATR incident Gilgit
Good to hear that all are safe. From pictures I saw, rightwing tip is on ground and right prop damaged. Will be a big ask to repair it given its remote location i.e gilgit.inducedrag wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 4:27 am Today ART PK605 over shot at Gilgit. passengers and crew safe aircraft is substantially damaged
Most probably will be third ATR write-off for PIA, not a very good statistics.
Given the size of airline industry, and no of major accidents and hull losses, I think Pakistan should rank amongst worst in the world.

Apparently the aircraft landed on Runway 25 and failed to stop on paved surface.
Approximate final position of the aircraft.

Re: PIA ATR Incident at Gilgit Airport
Is it not the regulatory authority (CAA), or accident investigation body ( SIB) who have to organise and conduct an investigation. How come CEO of the operator 'order' such investigation?????
