Would have been nice to see it kept in green & gold livery that it was wearing at the time of retirement in 1986.

today i passed by the PIA Planetarium, the tail is painted in green so most probably getting new tail color as currently in use, rest of the paint is same with 1 green ribbon crossing the fuselage. Will be taking pics soon before i fly back to Kuwait.

The retired Boeing 720B is painted for free by some local film production house / producer who used the aircraft for recording some scenes of his film.






The vertical stabilizer will receive current PIA flag tail livery in next few days.

AP-AXL was in sad condition.

There were some used tickets scattered on the ground of planetarium and scan of one of them I've posted here.

The planetarium employees said that show is conducted only when at least thirty people show interest in buying tickets otherwise show gets cancelled.

BTW, painters did not know that 'Pakistan International' titles below PIA logo on fuselage should be in golden colour. They also said golden stripe on fuselage will not be painted.

Yes, the planetarium remains popular site for school trips from Lahore and its adjacent areas.

The retired Boeing 720B has received current version of PIA Pakistan flag tail livery but the aircraft has lost its registration AP-AXL.
