FS2004 Photoreal Textures

Post by imranzul »

Salam

Here are some photoreal shots for FS2004 made using a program FS EarthTiles which allows photoreal textures to be placed on fs2004 or FSX using Map servers to download selected areas, then compile a bgl file which is then added to your addon scenery.

The program wil download the Maps and convert into BGL files automatically.

I dont suggest compiling the whole of Pakistan as this would take a lot of processing power and diskspace and ram. I doubt the Addon scenery could handle 300gb of files, as after trying to convert the north of england into photoreal, then adding to addon scenery - my FS now just crashes [-( Im working to fix it.

Im sure you would agree these shots are a lot better than default MS Texture.

Depending on FS2004 resolution the whole of pakistan would be around 300GB upwards, Load times for scenery will be affected, not much Impact on frame rates. These shots were taken while my FS was working :D

FS2004 Resolution limits detail to the above wehn at low altitude, but from the cockpit the view is amazing.
but I forgot to post a pic :?
