The 2nd Leased Airbus

Post by Bukhari »

PIA had leased two aircraft to cope with the situation arising out of the EU ban. One is TC-SGC from Saga, which one is the other one and from where did they lease it.

I guess the second leased A310 would be TC-SGB of Saga Airlines. It underwent C-Check and (TLOD) Modification at Karachi Airport recently.

Why is it that PIA is not working on their fleet of A310s and the B747s?
Leasing and incorporating Mods. on a leased plane!! What should we call it? No lessons learnt yet?

The second A310-304, registration TC-SGB, leased from Saga Airlines is now in service with PIA.

Registration of first A310-304 leased from Saga Airlines is TC-SGC.

The first leased Airbus A310-300 registration TC-SGC has been returned to lessor Saga Airlines. TC-SGC is now on lease to Air Algérie since June 19, 2007.

Is second leased Airbus A310-300 registration TC-SGB also returned to Saga Airlines?

The Universal 742 went back a long time ago from what I know.

Karachi airport at one time was beginning to look like an a/c dumping ground.

The PIA Express Boeing 747-281B (AP-BIC) leased from Air Universal was seen inside Ispahani hangar on May 14. Does anyone know where it's now? Is it still undergoing maintenance checks? or has it come out of maintenance checks or has it left Pakistan?

In case of Airbus A310-300 (TC-SGB), it would be interesting to see where it goes now. According to some sources before TC-SGB joined PIA, Shaheen Air had plans to acquire this A310 on lease to start its operations to UK.

The BIC was said to be purchased by PIA.

I don see TC-SGB goinging shaheen, shaheen hasnt annouched their operstions to UK yet.

By the way Star aviations has been banned by CAA. The 737 in TCS colors was operated by star aviations hence that 737-200 (EX-050) has been returned to Intal Air (UAE Based charter)
