PIA staffer thrashed

ISLAMABAD - The son of a ruling party woman Senator Monday thrashed a PIA staffer at the airport when the former was denied a boarding card on an unconfirmed ticket, official sources said.
Many passengers including some legislators reportedly witnessed the ugly incident at Rawal Lounge.
The place was crowded and Arshad Khan was asked by PIA official to wait until all the passengers with confirm tickets were issued boarding cards.
Arshad, however, turned violent over the reply and started abusing PIA official Irfan Shah in presence of many passengers some of whom were reportedly MNAs and MPAs.
When Irfan asked Arshad why was he abusing him, the youthful offspring of woman Senator became more hostile and started beating PIA staffer with kicks and fists, sources said.
Officials of Airport Security Force (ASF) and some of the passengers intervened and saved the attacked official from further thrashing.
Shortly after the incident, Irfan Shah moved an application with Airport police station accusing the son of Senator Kulsoom Perveen for abusing and torturing him.
Irfan said accused Arshad also extended life threats.
Police said a case under section 506 and 186 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) has been registered against the alleged offender on the application of PIA official. However, no arrest was reported till late Monday evening.
PML-Q Senator Kulsoom Perveen was not available for comments when contacted at Parliament Lodges.

Well thats the kind of problems PIA staff face every day. The so called VIPs and journalaists always demand extraordinary favours and when they dont get them they resort to this kind of behaviour.

His mother should be stripped off her senate seat.

Let the court give the same right to the PIA official; to treat Mr. Hero in same way in open public place

Here is my prediction, the witnesses (all MNAs, and Senators) will say that PIA staff was rude, so he has to share the blame for the incident. Kirmani may even ask him to apologize or even suspend him and order an inquiry against him.

He will have to take the case back, and the case will be shut.

Off topic but Journalists have been known to pass off their tickets to friends and relatives, I know of people who have travelled on journalists tickets.

Journalists are the biggest blackmailers in Pakistan. PIA management is always trying to appease them so they expect preferrential treatment at the ticketing and checkin counters.

Here is my list of troublemakers, in order of priority:

1. Journalists
2. Parlimentarians/Senators
3. Beurocrats
4.Lawyers
5.Faujis
