KARACHI, Dec. 1 (APP)- PIA has introduced e-ticketing at major domestic stations Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Sukkur and Faisalabad for enhanced customer convenience and comfort.
According to PIA, E-ticketing will enable customers to have swift issuance of tickets by the airline services available at dedicated PIA counters at airports and booking offices.
Pointing out that Electronic ticketing is essentially a paperless storage of travel entitlement where pertinent information resides in real time, a PIA spokesman said that our passengers will face fewer frustrations with lost tickets, exchanges, refunds, pickup/send of paper documents and airport check-in.
Subsequently, he said, this facility will be available throughout our domestic and international network.
He said this arrangement that has been made in conformity with IATA regulations, which makes it mandatory for airlines to go on 100% e-ticketing by the end of 2007.
