A gift from Qatar - Pic added
This is what I received today, the elusive 1:200 scale QR A340-600 model that I was after for months. This model was manufactured exclusively for the QR Marketing Dept and not available for public sale:

Lol unfortunately it was not gifted to me as a reward for being a QR frequent flier. This model was produced strictly for corporate use and marketing and was given only to select QR preferred travel agencies and executives within the company.
I asked a member of the cabin crew on board my last flight from Lhr to Doh about this model and she told me the same thing, that it was for marketing and corporate use only and even the employees of the airline like themselves could not get these and if I wanted one, I should try to approach the marketing dept directly which would be no point. Even their Khi booking office or any travel agent in Khi hasn't received this as the airline feels that they haven't made sufficient marketing arrangements and as their flights have a full load as it is they don't have to bother.
