If the conspiracy to privatize PIA bears fruit what would be the future of historyofpia ? Well if you ask me the title would befitting, since PIA would be history and all and sundry would be discussing the Chaudhries and Shahs and Kirmanis' contribution towards achieving this goal of the GOP.

Has anyone given thought to the possibility of asking, say, EK, to take on a temporary ( say 5-year ) managerial role ( ala SriLankan ) to solve the immediate problems.Just a shot in the dark - but desperate situations call for drastic measures.

VC10... EK does not have capability suitable to address PK situation. There certainly are ways & means to salvage/restore the 'enterprise'. But since PK is embodiment of scams R us & wickedness ala carte, there is probably NO interest in anything that could appear sane.

That's a real shame zerbaer - I was braistorming to try to come up with any ideas to restore PIA to it's former glory, since I think we both agree something has to be done now to avoid the worst case scenario -i.e closure.
