PIA's absence in Glasgow a catch for EK

Post by pkjet »

EK have lowered their Glasgow-Lahore fare down to just £485.00 including all taxes in PIA's absence !! What next ? Direct Glasgow-Lahore flights by EK to help a cash strapped PIA ?
You can't be all things to all people...so just be nice !

PIA now have more seats than ever before on the Glasgow-Lahore route as they have gone from a 2x weekly A310 to a 2x weekly 777-200.

Is the equipment change due to marketing requirements or n.a of A310 ?

Ofcourse the change in aircraft is due to EU restrictions on PIA's A310s and B747s.

Ofcourse the change in aircraft is due to EU restrictions on PIA's A310s and B747s.
Does that imply that B777 would be flying half empty or half full?

Dont know as yet but the A310 was always full, in all 3 classes on all flights.

Well considering the amount of Pakistani population living in Birmingham/Glasgow I barely thing the aircraft will be coming with empty seats. Yes, exceptions are always there but I am sure PIA will be doing well on this route with B777 too.

from what I hear 777's are on the full summer timetable for GLA & I would also guess for BHX. Great for viewing in the summer!!

PIA schedules is showing once weekly A310 to GLA besides twice weekly 772, and there are no flights fro STN which has also been removed from the drop down menu list at all schedule pages.

So Glasgow to Lahore is now 3x weekly, twice with a 777 and once with a A310?

What days will the 777 operate and what day will the A310 operate?
