Its simple to know that, all flight crew/flight staff board the aircraft from the same lounge and gate as pessangers of the flight here at YYZ, now when you are in same room and see obious irr-rational and wacked out behaviour of couple among you, its clearly shows that something is not right with those individuals as they don't act, talk normal and right!, so i am sure that is what exactly happened in the waiting lounge and when passenger saw this they most likely went airport and other PIA officals and complained about imparity of both flight deck crew members, as a result it turned out both were intoxicated and were detained by airport officals and flight was stopped from leaving.
Well this excellent way to promote name of your national airline, way to go both of you ""Captain Amir and Captain Gabool!!!""

What's with Pakistani pilot's over obsession with whisky and wine drinking...they are no different than their taxi driver counterparts that are so ubiquitous in all large cities of North America, who can’t seem to get enough liquor, with a special preference for cheap beer...
Desis, Pakistanis in particular and liquor are a deadly combination, best kept separate at all and any cost...Pakistani's lacking the genetic makeup and evolution of people in Europe and Americas are not adapt at drinking, they invaribly go overboard, get a buzz with just fumes, and most importantly can't hold their liquor in...

None of us know what the passengers saw or thought they saw. It may have been something as inocuous as the two pilots sitting at an airport bar sipping a coke. OTOH, they might have been at the gate drinking from bottles with their left hand and raising their right hands in hitler salutes to cover up the bottle.

one of these pilots is a very close family friend. the true facts are that both captains had tippled heavily more then 40 hours before the scheduled departure time, but were below the limits set by aviation authorities when on the aircraft. this alone aquitts them from any charge.as an added precaution they were removed from the flights not for being in any kind of violation.

PK790/09jan07 AP-BGY left YYZ for PAK. After take-off one of the engines suffered an ingestion probably a bird strike which caused heavy vibration felt by the cockpit crew and after dumping fuel returned back to YYZ.
Two fan blades were replaced at YYZ after a team of engineers was despatched. The aircraft was declared serviceable earlier than expected catching the operating crew who were unaware and informed too late and were found to have been drinking at their own leisure and were not able to operate the flight when they were expected to do so delaying departure even further.
The rest of the story you can probably make up as you go along as a lot of people have done................

The flight was operated out of yyz by Capt Gabol, who has probably never touched a drop of alcohol in his life, so people like FK etc need to stop making up pathetic rumors and tarnishing a good persons image.
As usual this board has no idea of the facts and has succeeded in spreading completely FALSE rumors.
