PIA Planning to Start Flights Between Lahore and Guangzhou

PIA has invited competitive offers to appoint airline's Ground Handling Agent at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. Last date to submit offers is September 7, 2022.

Recently, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) allowed PIA to operate scheduled passenger flights to/from Guangzhou.

PIA planning to start flights between Lahore and Guangzhou from December, according to news sources. Flights to facilitate passengers traveling between Pakistan and China.

Recently:

* PIA invited competitive offers to appoint airline's Ground Handling Agent at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

* PIA also invited tenders from in-flight catering service providers at Guangzhou Airport for airline's 1,400 meals per month requirement.



Currently, PIA operates Boeing 777 flights to Chinese cities of Beijing and Chengdu from Islamabad.

In the past:

Pakistan's Shaheen Air operated three weekly flights between Lahore and Guangzhou with Airbus A330 aircraft.



China Southern Airlines operated four weekly flights between Guangzhou and Lahore with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

PIA has invited bids for Technical Handling of its aircraft at Guangzhou Airport (CAN).

PIA intends to operate once-a-week flight between Lahore and Guangzhou every Tuesday with Boeing 777 aircraft. PIA alternate aircraft for Guangzhou is Airbus A320.
