ANF Raid Delays PIA Karachi to Muscat Flight PK225 Departure

According to news sources:

PIA Karachi to Muscat flight PK225 aircraft was raided by Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) at Karachi Airport upon receiving information about the presence of narcotics aboard the aircraft.

The ANF team searched the entire PIA aircraft. After completing search, ANF sought inspection of a medical box present in the aircraft. The ANF team was informed that proper authorization is required to break the seal for opening medical box. The ANF team without opening the medical box took it along for scanning. The scanning process did not reveal presence of any contraband item in the medical box.

The flight departed with a delay after completion of search process by ANF team.

On January 23, PIA Airbus A320 aircraft registration AP-BLW departed from Karachi at 8:05 PM as flight PK225 to Muscat with a delay of one hour. The flight was scheduled to depart from Karachi at 7:05 PM.
