Getting banned from Europe, US and UK should have been enough reason for the government to KICK OUT Arshad Malik, but seems like his connections are more powerful then the interests of the airline.

EASA ban wasn’t quite his fault in that regard Aviation minister and CAA officials deserve to be kicked out.
Arshad malik’s intended tenure has already been completed but looks like someone in the government thinks he’s going to magically turn into nur khan one day he wakes up.
It’s a shame how a population of 22cr can’t produce a good Airline CEO.

A good CEO will only function if sarkari afsaraan will stop butting in the airline affairs + CAA does what it was hired to do rather than badgering airlines and its crew. North America is heaven for pilots compared to Pakistan. Its a sad state of affairs to be honest.

Once again a poor choice of aircraft selected for PIA operations.

How will these aircraft compete with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic nonstop service on the 787s??

Plus Emirates, Qatar, Turkish and other airlines providing connecting flights.

These two airbuses are high density aircraft with zero on board entertainment.

Unless PIA fares are half of what the other airlines are charging I doubt anyone would fly PIA chartered flights.

This obviously shows the ex airforce CEO thinks he is still running the airline like a C-130.

Airline business is SERVICE ORIENTED BUSINESS. Its not a bus service.

PIA has reached this level because of incompetent and corrupt officials running the airline affairs.

PIA Cleared itself way earlier than CAA in audit

He made entire fleet operational in his 1st year

Increased PIA profits

Returned expensive leased ATR 72s

He made business plan for the airline

Did regular audits each quarter (available on airlines website) rarely done before

Cut down ghost employees reduced workforce by 4900 people

Cut salaries on voluntary basis to keep the airline alive during the Pandemic

Adding A320 simulator

Adding 3+ A320s this year

PIA is going towards digital filing system

All this during excessive pressure from govt , unions and corrupt people
