Airbus A320 registration AP-BMX joined PIA fleet as dry leased aircraft in November 2019.

Today, Airbus A320 registration OE-IOR arrived in Islamabad as delivery flight from Perpignan (France) via Cairo (Egypt).

This A320 built in year 2017 has joined PIA fleet as dry leased aircraft for six years from Seraph Aviation Group.

The aircraft underwent maintenance checks performed by Sabena Technics at Perpignan Rivesaltes Airport, France.

the livery concept of the this A320 can be used to modify yet another PIA livery.

Make the dark blue stripe into gold, the light blue strip in green, going to the tail. Instead of the flag return PIA on the tail. and write Pakistan on the fusalage.

Or maybe use a combination of light green and dark green and forget gold and green.

It might actually work.

Karachi, 14 September 2021: PIA has acquired two Airbus A320 Aircraft; the first A320 reached Islamabad on Tuesday morning while the second aircraft is expected to arrive in a couple of weeks’ time.



PIA had issued tender for acquisition of Aircraft on lease. These two aircraft have been acquired on dry lease from Bank of Utah, USA. PIA has planned to upgrade its fleet with new versions of fuel efficient latest technology Aircraft. The two aircraft have 2017 year of Manufacturing with passenger capacity of 170 seats.

The process of inducting aircraft was slowed due to COVID Pandemic and prevailing aviation industry crisis worldwide.

CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik Sharing his views on delivery of the first A320 aircraft said that PIA’s aim is to provide best services to its customers with fuel efficient, latest technology aircraft. He thanked the airline management for inducting the aircraft in such difficult times and congratulated them for this feat. CEO PIA also thanked Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Finance, PIA Board of Directors and Minister of Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan for their support.

CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik instructed PIA engineering and concerned departments to immediately fulfill all necessary requirements and bring this aircraft into operation as soon as possible.
