Under construction new Gwadar International Airport visited by a delegation led by Secretary Aviation. Director General (DG) Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and other officials belonging to the Pakistani aviation regulatory body were also part of the visiting delegation.
A twenty-day training course for new Gwadar International Airport for Pakistani officials will be conducted in China from July 8 to 27.
The officials meeting criteria and nominated by the Government of Pakistan by May 16 will travel to China for the training course in 15 different fields. China will bear the cost of training course.
New Gwadar International Airport is expected to become operational by the end of year 2023.
It looks like a modern and built-to-purpose terminal and other buildings. However, if these are recent, there is still some way to go before this new airport becomes operational. Let us hope that the political upheavals and the unrest in Gwadar do not further delay it.
