CAA Provides Permanent Electricity Supply Connection to PIA Hangar at Islamabad International Airport

On the directive of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Executive Committee, case for provisioning of permanent power supply connection from CAA 132kV grid station was initiated. After completion of all formalities, work was started on September 25, 2019, having completion period of six months.

However, due to urgent operational requirement work completed before time on January 11, 2020, (Approximately four months) and PIA Unit Load Devicd (ULD) hangar electric power Distribution Board (DB) energized.

Previously, PIACL started ULD Domestic Hangar operation when Islamabad International Airport became operational in May, 2018. CAA had provided temporary electric supply connection to PIA for their operation. PIA from this hangar handles ULD operation and ATR maintenance activities.
