Maybe PIA wants to try one of the two aircraft as future replacement for the 737-340s.

I would go for the 737-800.

Looks like PIA cannot find the extra A310-300s it needs.

One major question, if PIA needed the extra capacity, then why did they phase out the entire A300 fleet?? AP-BBV, AP-BEL, AP-BEY could have done fine for another couple of years.

PIA had announced in 2002 plans to replace the 733's with used A320's or 734's.

Theres no point in replacing them with 737-400's thats just daft, 737-700 or 737-800 would be most suitable with winglets.

PIA do seem to be giving the Airbus aircraft a chance. They're looking to lease A340s and A320s..... could it be they have long-term plans for the A380??

I guess the purchase of the 777s would contradict that, but u never know.

(An A380 in PIA colours - that'll be the day :))
