So as per the narrator if SU-30 was downed with AIM-120, this contradicts the narrative of ISPR that no F-16 was used in whole engagement.

The fact that the made in Pakistan JF 17 block 2 brought down a Mig 21 and SU30MKI is too much for Indians to face and that's why they are screaming whatever they can to stem embarrassment.

JF-17 thunder is capable of both AMRAAM and ASRAAM. Why it is being assumed that F-16 is needed to use AIM 120C?

The BVR missile for JF-17 is Chinese SD-10 not AIM-120.

* The IAF MiG-21 was shot down by PAF aircraft piloted by Squadron Leader Hasan Siddiqi.

* The other IAF aircraft was shot down by PAF aircraft piloted by Wing Commander Nauman Ali Khan. Details of this second IAF aircraft shot down by PAF will emerge soon.

The main concern regarding aviation( which one hope turns out wrong concern in future) is that , that Pak airspace becomes like airspace of Iraq as an example. It is avoided still by a certain set of airlines and will likely remain so or at worst like Eastern Ukraine. Will this latest escalation have impact on British airways or possibly other EU airlines like AIr France or Lufthansa which might be interested in future?? Opening of Isb airport, soaring traffic of MUX, LYP and Sialkot, resumption of British AIrways , govt review of aviation policy etc were very positive news and all of sudden this crisis for which govt have to take those measures...

The long lasting effect of it still have to be seen

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says F-16 issue is sensitive and will talk about it when needed.



According to DG ISPR, two IAF aircraft were shot down by Pakistan. One IAF pilot died, the other pilot was captured and released later.

This article makes things more confusing. ISPR said NO F16 use in engagement, a JF17 aircraft was decorated with its first kill, yet this article says F16 shot Indian airplanes. This doesn't add up. Also what about the other Indian pilot they claimed to have captured? If he was killed where is his body?

Tamgha-e-Jurrat to be awarded to PAF Squadron Leader Hassan Mahmood Siddiqui for shooting down IAF aircraft that fell in Kashmir controlled by India.

Tamgha-e-Jurrat to be awarded to PAF Group Captain Faheem Ahmed.

The investiture ceremony of these awards will take place on Pakistan Day, March, 23, 2020.
