A lot of business class passengers travel on two or three day business trips. They dont have time to wait for PIA twice weekly service to Milan, Paris Copenhagen Oslo New York or Toronto flights.

Four stations in mainland Europe, that is pathetic.

Twice weekly to New York, that was their frequency in 1982.

Business class travelers want frequency that PIA cannot offer to Europe and North America.

The only place they can offer is London, Jeddah or Dubai.

PIA should become an all economy airline and worry about filling up the 30 percent of planes that are flying empty.

Forget wasting money on club class seats, seats that will be occupied by politicians or PIA crew.

They could look into downgrading to a regional J like priduct, that might fill up more with reduced fare, cheaper no lie fllat seats, no chinaware, no trolley buffet service.

The average business trip takes 3-4 days. A twice - thrice weekly flight is fine. The destinations in Europe are what you'd expect from an airline that is literally dragging itself along. London is 10 weekly to Pakistan, or 4 -3 weekly to each of the main cities. Jeddah is about 7x weekly from the 3 main cities combined, also fine. Dubai is 2x Daily from ISB, Daily from LHE and Daily from KHI. Overall that's 28 flights a week to DXB.

An all economy airline? When they can't even fill up their already small economy class? Why waste that space when there ARE people who fly Business Class in PIA.

^ A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Airbus Group, STELIA Aerospace offers global solutions for aeronautical manufacturers and airlines. Resulting from the merger, on 1st January 2015, between Aerolia and Sogerma, STELIA Aerospace designs and produces aerostructures, crew seats and business and first class passenger seats.

Air Blue is bring in 220 seat A321s to fly against your 158 seat A320s.

Shaheen is bringin 320 seat A330s in all economy.

PIA is upgrading its club class down from 35 seats to 24, and probably the fare would remain the same.

PIA loses 300 billion in ten years and it decides to upgrade it club class, probably exactly what the PM ordered.

^ You're welcome.

Actually bids were opened on December 3, 2014, for installation of new Business Class seats in two Boeing 777-200LR aircraft of PIA and then Sogerma was one of the bidders.

Later, it was decided to upgrade Business Class of all nine PIA Boeing 777s.

I hope PIA by consulting aircraft lessor AerCap also gets Business Class of two ex-Vietnam Airlines Boeing 777-200ERs (AP-BMG and AP-BMH) upgraded with these new seats.

They are. I complained about the recliners to Mr. Azeem who said that it was their priority to fit BMG/H with these.

Though indeed many business customers would prefer service of Emirates or other airlines to Europe, however with Shaheen and Airblue choosing all economy flights, PIA won't face competition on direct flights for business customers.

With these kind of seats, I think many business customers won't mind switching over to PIA from me3, due to the hours of time they save. What PIA will need to do is also improve business service, such as not giving food in plastic plates, non functioning IFE (or old quality) and of course on time arrivals without fear of cancellation.
