"Qatar Airways today announces it will be extending its footprint in the USA by announcing its seventh gateway to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). Service will commence on July 1, 2014."
"Currently flying to four destinations in the United States – New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and Houston – the airline will nearly double its footprint in the country with the addition of three new routes in 2014: Philadelphia (2 April), Miami (10 June) and Dallas/Fort Worth (1 July)."
Good news especially for the community living in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Emirates already operates daily out of DFW airport but the current schedule don't suit to folks flying back to Lahore and Islamabad due to a long stopover in Dubai. (Not sure about Karachi). Same problem on the return leg as well. Qatar's schedule is far better with less stopover time at Doha.
