A British Airways Airbus 319 operating flight BA762 to Oslo had to return to Heathrow soon after take off for an Emergency landing. According to video available it was emitting thick black smoke from the starboard engine. Both runways were closed initially, but runway 27L has since reopened.

Latest photographs show that not only was the starboard engine emitting plumes of black smoke, but the engine cowling on the port engine has blown off as well. The return path made it cross central London into Heathrow.
