Pilots advised to exercise caution during landing/takeoff from secondary Runway 03L/21R.
Completion of Faisalabad Airport main Runway 03R/21L reconstruction work expected by August 2022.
The reconstructed and upgraded main runway will enable operation of Boeing 777 category passenger and cargo aircraft at the airport. It will increase passenger and cargo traffic at the airport.

Today, Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique chaired a meeting at Faisalabad International Airport where he received briefing on airport's main runway reconstruction project.
Faisalabad Airport primary Runway 03R/21L being upgraded for regular Boeing 777 category passenger and cargo aircraft operations is expected to become operational in October this year. Flights between Faisalabad and UK (Manchester and Glasgow) to be considered after completion of runway upgrade work.
Proposals to be submitted for Faisalabad International Airport Cargo Terminal construction and passenger lounge upgradation.
70% work has been completed to upgrade Faisalabad Airport primary Runway 03R/21L. The upgraded runway is expected to become operational by the end of October this year.
The upgraded runway will be capable of handling regular Boeing 777 category passenger and cargo aircraft operations at Faisalabad Airport.
