From August 27 to September 30, rehabilitation work in progress on western side of runway approximately 1500 feet down the Runway 21 and 315 feet from runway centre line. Heavy machinery have been deployed. All pilots advised to exercise caution while landing/takeoff/taxiing.



From August 27 to September 30, in order to rehabilitate abandoned/secondary runway at Faisalabad International Airport, digging/refilling work has been completed while slab and asphalt laying work is in progress. Heavy machinery is deployed for the purpose. All pilots to exercise caution during landing/takeoff from Runway 03/21.

Asphalt laying work is in progress to rehabilitate abandoned secondary runway at Faisalabad International Airport. Heavy machinery can be seen deployed for the purpose.









Most likely secondary runway will become operational as Runway 03L/21R.

After secondary runway becomes operational, the primary Runway 03/21 will be upgraded to handle Boeing 777 category aircraft. Most likely, the upgraded primary runway will become Runway 03R/21L.

Faisalabad Airport main Runway 03R/21L reconstruction work completion expected by August 2022 at a cost PKR 3.58 billion.

The main runway will be equipped with modern Instrument Landing System (ILS) allowing flight operations in poor visibility.

The reconstructed main runway will be capable of handling Boeing 777 category wide-body passenger aircraft.

The reconstructed main runway will also open the airport to new international routes and foreign airlines.

The reconstructed main runway will also allow operation of wide-body cargo aircraft flights at the airport. It will help exporters from Faisalabad and adjacent areas in exporting their products to various countries around the world directly.
