Connieman where are we now?

Oh i see.
Well i'm waiting for hotwire equipment's availability at one of my friend's place to cut the new foam cores for stabilizer. Most likely it will happen tomorrow Saturday at some point. I will keep all informed on the progress of this model.

Re: PIA or PAF's 11 foot WS C130's RC model's build thread!!!
Actually for last 2 days i have been working on once abandoned project for producing scale functional replication of Hamilton Standard propellers for these Palmer 132" C130 models. One another modeler started this 4-5 years ago but due to lack of interest and demand at that time didn't allowed these to be produced economically. Now that there are many other guys who have already built and flying these or who are currently building these or even have short kits off are in greater number so it's feasible to make these propellers more economically as price will very on total number of propellers and spinner sets to be produced.
These will be produced by a company in NY, USA who is presently making UAVs for USAF. Originally spinner was designed with ground changeable pitch capability but now i have decided to make these simpler with 3-4 fixed pitch settings to be used on different types of 2 and 4 stroke engines. These will be made from actual factory drawings and on CAD program for true authenticity and accuracy to minute detail. This way "WOW" factor at scale rallies or any event where these models will go will be great!...
Here are initial pictures of what i'm talking about.

Progress on this model is bit slow now, i am presently working with company in NY who will be making scale CF props with aluminum spinners for these models. I have also created a group on Facebook relating to RC scale flying models and all to do with them. Anyone willing to join is welcome. It's just a fresh start,s o give me sometime to add more stuff on there, here check it out.

I suppose NO ONE here liked the idea of "What if" AWACS C130 in PAF scheme...

Re: PIA or PAF's 11 foot WS C130's RC model's build thread!!!
I'm back working on this project again, now that my friend is back, i can got o his place to cut the foam cores for newer stabilizer. This will be totally new section and will not use any structural parts from older tail plane section ie: Horizontal stabilizer.
Here are the numbers i got from the plans and gave then for CAD drawing to be generated:
- 1.750" - Root thickness - rib
- .75" - Tip thickness - rib
- 13.0" - Root length
- 5.5" - Tip length
- 25.5" - Panel length from center line
- 4.375" - Sweep setback at the tip
- 4.25" - Centerbox length
- 1/2 x 1/8 - Rear spar
- 7 3/8" - Rear spar set back
N0013 fits perfectly (Naca airfoil type)
With this new drawing i will have choice either to make newer tailplane as wood built up structure or make root and tip airfoil templates and cut foam cores wing panels.

Glad you've given up on the AWACS version, that is if you have given up on it ? I'd rather see it in PAF colors

It's not a Mahal but very nice house and piece of property i have to say, best part about it is, i have my own shop and flying field in my own back yard!, so it's a blessing for me.

Honestly Awacs version is still kicking into me but not for this model, i'm already looking for another short kit of this C130 to do as Awacs version. This will be done as PAF's "64144" in RAIT special scheme for sure.sfarooq wrote:Glad you've given up on the AWACS version, that is if you have given up on it ? I'd rather see it in PAF colors
