On September 7, 1965, five IAF Hunter aircraft were shot down by Alam within few minutes not a minute. Out of these five aircraft, at least three were destroyed within 30 to 40 seconds.3hs4n1 wrote:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... _Alam1.jpg

Yes, it will be interesting to see latest photos of that aircraft. Btw, that IAF Dassault Ouragan (known as Toofani in IAF) was forced to land by a pair of PAF F-86F Sabres scrambled from Mauripur. The incident happened on June 24, 1965 during Rann of Kutch dispute between Pakistan and India before the start of full-scale war in September 1965.hazad wrote:A Dassault ouragan was captured in the 1965 war. I think its sitting in the Peshawar museum. Would anyone be able to get a picture of it?
In book 'Battle for Pakistan - The Air War of 1965' by John Fricker there are photos of this IAF Ouragan apparently taken soon after the incident. The photos indicate IAF Ouragan lost its undercarriage during landing but otherwise received very little damage.
