Does that white rectangle marked as “expansion area” also include the grass land, because in updated google maps, the grass is gone and the land has been dug. So according to google maps, the expansion is much bigger than the one marked on the figure above.

Means we won't see expanded terminal until 2030 at least. IMO, PCAA should simply design a larger greenfield airport across Ravi near Shiekhupura connected to freeway to serve Lahore, Okara, Faisalabad and Sargodha regions. Expanding current airport will not serve anyone beyond Lahore...... it can only be an alternate for Amritsar at most.

This airport is connected to other parts of North Punjab through the motorway via ring road.

Stand number 9 not available due to construction regarding expansion of terminal building towards southern side. Stand numbers 10 & 11 can be utilized by Airport Manager (if deemed appropriate from operations/safety aspects) for any emergency and while considering ongoing construction activities of project at site. Caution of heavy construction machinery deployed at concerned site, whereas all other stands and related facilities shall remain available.

In Lahore airport terminal building expansion project, the terminal building area currently used for domestic flights will become part of the area for international flights.

Lahore gets domestic flights only from one city: Karachi. Not sure if there's a need to relocate domestic operations just for one specific route. Lahore certainly isn't as busy as Karachi domestically.

Because those “important” airlines like EK, EY, TY, QR, SV take the passengers in these hours to/from Pakistan due to their flight connections. We are such unfortunate nation that our national carrier can’t go to those western destinations where most of expats live.

Mismanagement at Pakistani airports is a bigger issue than the amount of space available.
