bilal bhai,

try converting the dxt3 textures to dxt1.
there was a scenery of Istanbul LTBA released by someone.
and that scenery had the same problem with terrain blur etc.

the scenery developer converted all it's textures to dxt1 and the problem was solved.

Doesn't matter because the scenery will load very slowly if the 3D models are polygon heavy. Try converting the textures to DXT3 but with mipmaps turned ON because if you don't then every time when you will look towards the scenery it will have to load the maximum texture quality but adding mipmap will allow the FS to show the smaller textures when farther away and will load bigger images when the plane gets closer to the area under use.

Hope that works for you. I might get some time off from my OPKC scenery or else I will get bored, maybe I can try tweaking stuff in your scenery if you don't mind. :D

Also, I have noticed that you used the ramp lightnings from rwy12 object placer to lighten up the ground near the terminal. It uses the landing lights effects from the default FS aircrafts which is also a big frame eater. You can check this by pressing ctrl+shift+(arrow keys) when you are using the apron there and see that the lights will move correspondingly to the pressed keys.

So I would suggest that you use the textures to lighten up things because thats the best method.

Hello,

a day back i have downloaded the scenery from flightsim.com Unfortunately, i was sad to read the details which i witnessed prior of download. And i am sure, Billal has to contact flightsim.com management for correction. Here is a snapshot of the same which i captured to show whats WRONG with

Now, the question is how the hell INDIA got there in description either any sick Indian guy (part of flightsim.com administration) put that intentionally or the flightsim.com administration dont know that Lahore is in Pakistan; it is an embarrassed situation for me

And a tip for Billal or any other flight sim developer:

that when ever you are going to bundle your work in zip file, please include the 2 necessary files with same description details i.e.

> readme.txt with complete details whatever you want to provide for the user.
> file_id.diz with minimum details to show on the website for the users to view prior of download.

And it is strange as well that no one noticed or mentioned it earlier even the 293 downloads are there, another embarrassment

Hello Bilal,

You are the designer for this scenery and have the copyrights for it. Even you did not uploaded it, just contact with flightsim.com administration and inform them clearly about the details. I hope they will correct the information.

Once this has happened to me as well when i saw one of my airbus repaint on flightsim.com which was not uploaded by me but by some of my friend who later informed me.

This is unacceptable! :x How cum? Punjab is in Pakistan as it is in India than why India? Infact the Indian side of Punjab is just one fraction of Gujrat area of Pakistani Punjab! We all know Pakistani Punjab is bigger than Indian side of Punjab! And Pakistan is equally signified in world atlas as much as India is. So saying that India was the only option in the website is a mere work by some sick Indian! :x I'm sure there is some dispeceble Indian who has done this, no Pakistani can do this!!

by the way, we'd be pleased if we hear someone say, Guru Ramdas International Airport - Amritsar - Punjab, Pakistan! what say bharat wasiyo? 8)

I suggest we contact the admin of that website, this is a breach, and who ever uploaded with that name can be sued!

Dear Bilal I love your Lahore Aiport PLZ could you tell us if their going to be any framerate improvments?

I have been trying in works in fs2004 so i thought i would just testfly in fsx
but performance is only good in fs2004 compared to fsx.! i noticed in framrates only!

Do the Aiport Gates Move by any chance?

Anywhay excellent work! 10 out of 10! bro from me!

And just reading other posts above it does look like some indian has stolen and posted it there, possibly to make the scenery look like made in india or indians get the credit, you should contact flightsim.com to remove it if you didnt post it up there!

I have downloaded it from flightsim.com. (81 mb) file

I can't install Lahore Airport into my FS2004. It doesn't click on Lahore Airport Scenery from FS 2004 scenery library. What's the problem. Have you released the final version of Lahore Airport?

If you have Windows 7,

try clicking anywhere in the white area of the folder you just added the scenery from.

Add area > Select folder > click anywhere in the white area and the window will close letting you know that the scenery has been added :D

I'm using Windows 7. It doesn't show any name after adding scenery. Am I right?

If It's OK, It's giving the following error :

Code: Select all

SCENERY.CFG file error. Invalid Remote scenery path in scenery Area.039. Click OK to Continue
