Retired Boeing 720B (AP-AXL) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on display at PIA Planetarium will be a sight to see from Orange Metro Train track in Lahore.
The aircraft is in a good position to promote the airline and become an attraction for metro train passengers.

Hope someone convinces PIA to restore her soon, maybe hand her over to the Lahore Museum or even the Army Museum in Lahore as they have quite an impressive aviation collection on display there.

Recent photos of retired PIA Boeing 720B (AP-AXL) on display at PIA Planetarium in Lahore. It was the last Boeing 720B to fly in PIA colours before getting retired in 1986. It was towed from Lahore Airport to PIA Planetarium in Lahore in November 1986. The Boeing 720B was replaced by then new technology Boeing 737-300 in PIA fleet.

AP-AXL is Boeing 720-047B construction number 18818 that was built in 1964 and delivered to Western Airlines with registration N93152. PIA acquired it in 1974.
It was one of three Boeing 720B aircraft shown in this PIA advertisement from 1977 celebrating induction of twelve aircraft in airline's fleet during that time period.
