It is not 'these' only 'This'. As I wrote above, there was only one Mi-24 helicopter and was never inducted formally, and never used officially. It is still there parked at an army aviation base.nd wrote:then what is the currently status of these mi-24..........any detail of induction

Re: Miscellaneous Pakistani Military Aircraft
^ I think that yellow line is used by ground staff for pushing the K-8 aircraft, manually with tow bar or by using tug, to its precise parking position by keeping the nose gear wheel on yellow line. Those markings can be useful for properly and neatly parking a line-up of aircraft. Seems that yellow line is painted specifically for parking K-8 Karakorum aircraft as K-8 nose wheel comes right on top of that circular tip of the yellow line.
Btw, is that photo taken at PAF Academy in Risalpur ? I also see T-37 aircraft in the background.

Re: Miscellaneous Pakistani Military Aircraft
Thanks nd for detailed info. IIRC this aircraft was bought by Army Aviation from MSA for VIP use during general Mi9ra Aslam Beg's tenure as COAS. Pilots and engineers were trained by PAF for the operation of F-27 with Army. The aircraft however remained grounded and parked at Chaklala due to wing tank fuel leakage problem for over two years. Later the army decided to go for a a brand new Cessna Citation V in 1993 and the F-27 was sold to PAF.
Never know that same acft met accident in Kohat.
My question still; is AR- a normal prefix with MSA tail nos?

Re: Miscellaneous Pakistani Military Aircraft
Apparently Pakistani Fokker F-27 aircraft for operating maritime patrol, security and reconnaissance flights use prefix 'AR-' in their serial number.
The format is 'AR-' prefix followed by a group of three letters/alphabets.
Probably 'A = Aerial' and 'R = Reconnaissance' ?
Example photos of Pakistan Navy Fokker F-27 aircraft.
