ED should stick to its own guns and not interfere with PIA.

S K Abbasi gets the Pashmina tail designed during his reign largely due to the hard working efforts and painting of Mr Nadir Chaudhri.

Arif Abbasi replaces him and doesnt like the above 2 men and therefore has PIA revert its color scheme back to the plain green and white wasting 1000s of $$$.

Abbasi leaves and is replaced by Mr Ahmad Saeed who spends millions getting PIA a whole new color scheme throughout their entire 40 strong fleet.

Saeed leaves and Mr Kirmani does the same by having the color scheme changed.

Now Kirmani wants to leave...

Does anyone realize that to repaint an entire aircraft the size of a B 747-777, it costs US $ 1 million + it increases the weight of the aircraft each time a paint job is done thus further reducing its payload capability :!: .

Just been informed that Mr Kirmani is swimming in very deep waters and the big shots in ISB have asked Mr Arif Abbasi ex PIA chairman to be on stand by to take over the post.

Can anyone confirm this?

Mr. Kirmani should stick to selling oil and leave the airline bussiness to professionals who know what it's all about. This trial and error basis of running PIA should come to an end, surely Pakistan must have some one some where who can run the airline efficiently and for that the government has to stop meddling for one and those old sycophants who surround whoever that takes over need to be shown the door, then only we may be able to take a step forward, or else it'll be just another change of face.

The only way to put PIA ahead in the competetive skies is to hand over control to Emirates.
Full Stop.
