PIA engineering should not be 'shifted' to new ISB airport. PIA should establish another engineering facility at ISB as well so aircraft don't need to fly to KHI just for maintenance. The new facility can also offer maintenance facilities for those foreign airlines crossing over pakistan through the northern corridor, some thing discussed on this forum already in the past.
PIA can keep expanding on its strategies of attracting foreign maintenance business at KHI. Its among the few good business moves PIA management now a days.
Not sure if officially we ever heard EY or EK ever officially announcing their intent of bringing A380 to Pakistan from DXB or AUH. It will be very interesting to know their brain dump on that one. It’s only some forum members coming up with that idea so far which, from engineering perspectives, will be a technical disaster.
