EK Store Dubai

Post by Moin »

I'm in Dubai right now and today at the City Centre mall I saw the EK Souvenir Shop selling models, shirts, cards, mugs, key rings, posters etc. The models were 1:500 scale A380, A345, A332 and 773 by Herpa for DHS 110 and the 1:200 scale A380, A345, A332, 773, 744F and 727 were by Skymarks/Risesoon and also for DHS 110. As I already had the 1:200 A345, I picked up the 773 and A332 alongwith a very nice 1:500 A380 refridgerator magnet. They also had cheaper 1:200 A345, A332 and 773 models which were more suitable for kids for around DHS 65.

People were flocking to this shop and EK has stores in most of the major malls as well as at DXB airport duty free. Now this is marketing. Took a few pics and will post them here when I return to Khi tomorrow.

Don't know if your a soccer fan but I'm wondering how much they were selling the Arsenal jersey's for? Might have to get my relatives bring me one from there instead of paying $100 for an official one here in the US...

If you know anyone in DXB, you can ask them to go and check it out. Chances are it won't be much cheaper there than it is in the US. Don't forget, DXB is very expensive. In some respects, even more expensive than the UK and definately the US.
