Air India's new livery

Post by himmat01 »

Air India has not yet announced this livery but here it is.

The red engines and the underbelly look great. Best thing about it is the return of the Centaur on the tail. The Mughal style windows have been retained.

Not at all bad, in fact an improved design and much better than the earlier messed up livery.

If I am not wrong, its the new Boeing 777 plane which is yet to be delivered to the airline, I wonder which version it is... Doesn't seem to be a -300 series, may be -200ER/LR??

Design on engine cover and tail is very nice and it's good to see the return of centaur. Fuselage is a bit simple in my opinion, would have liked to see some more colour on fuselage section.

Looks much better than the current one. They made their jet's look retro with the current livery.

It was about time for an update to Air India's classic colours... looks good.

I think this is a 772LR. I'm not sure if they ordered 772ER's as I only recall 772LR's and 773ER's which they have ordered.

As for the livery, nothing great. Looks like a cross between Air Berlin and Air Algerie. I liked the way AI looked at the future while still embracing a bit of the past. Their classic livery with the polished belly will always be remembered.

i quite like this livery but not too different from the present AI livery. i think this is B777-200LR

so PIA isnt the only airline flying this aircraft now. so GJ should be considering doing some airlines of the B777-200LR including this and PIA's

The fuselage is too plain and simple... the tail on the otherhand is a stunner! Nice to see them update their livery and still keep those tombstone windows :P

I 100% agree with the fact that apart from tail & engines the new livery is pretty much ordinary & those arch shaped window borders not at all blend with the new livery…No doubt the previous livery was a classical one…will surely be remembered! If they redo their fuselage pattern…It’ll be much better

It looks nice. The off-set centaur is particularly classy.

It's alright... I mean if only it was a bit more colorful and centaur was easily recognizble but still, not bad.

Nothing different then current style of hopeless liveries!, except for only certain part of livery that is attractive  , other examples are Saudia and PIA....

They should not have the tomb stone windows - looks weird to me!
