So the same revenue will increase by three time from 1.5 billion to 4.5 billion monthly, which is 54billion PKR per year.

This 54 billion PKR per year revenue will arrest the situation and solve all the loss making situation of PIA.

PIA losses are 67 billion a year with interest payments of 42 billion being the biggest contributor.

Even if Turkish allows you extra 15 flights a week even then you are talking about extra REVENUE NOT PROFIT of 54 billion.

maximum operating profit PIA will make from these fantasy 15 flights is 10% or around 5 billion.

This 5 billion will not plug the hole of 67 billion that PIA is losing in exchange rate losses and interest payments.

There is no way PIA can cover its interest payments from an operational fleet of 30 aircraft. (10 777 14 A320 6 ATR72/42)

PIA has to sell the two hotels in Paris and New York, bring in 1.5 billion dollars in State Bank, and the 350 billion rupees can be used to pay off loans and liabilities to PSO (24 billion) CAA and FBR.

There is no other way PIA can be made into a viable airline.

The main reason why the government isn't able to sell the 2 hotels is probably because of the political pressure I belive. If they go onto sell them, statements like : " Mulk bech diya" etc.. will be made from opposing parties and probably the public as well.

A normal man ( aam shehri )doesn't understand that eventually selling the hotels will only reduce the pressure on tax payer as PIA is a national asset and the loans of PIA are the loans of the government which are payed using tax payer's money.

Selling the hotels is a viable option but there are many problems is they do so. Hence, we shall forget that hotels will be sold anytime soon.

At least there should be a common awareness amongst the general public that PIA isn't flying to USA for a long time and isn't returning to USA anytime soon, hence it's useless to keep the hotel.

PIA's loans and debts are national debts which will only be reduced if the hotels are sold🀷.

Reduction in these debts and loans by making PIA profitable is a long term play, ain't happening anytime soon so it's better to sell the hotels.

I hope PIA can utilize 21x weekly frequency from various cities as allowed by the biateral.

With PIA's inter-line agreement in suspension by Air Canada (probably due to PIA baggage limits), it makes sense that PIA expand its TK code code-share to include all TK destinations in Canada, US, Mexico and the rest of Americas. Vancouver connections usually require an overnight stay in Toronto at least in one direction. It will be better if, PIA uses code share arrangements with TK for Vancouver and Montreal, at least. Inclusion of Toronto can offer more frequencies to the traveling PIA clients.There are many destinations in Latin & Central America served by TK that have Pakistani diaspora but PIA flights do not make a financial sense.

Has PIA dropped LHE-IST flights?? PK-707 ( LHE-IST) hasn't been operated for over a month now. Also seems like ISB-IST has been reduced to 3x weekly instead of 4x.

This might be due to some planes being out of service due to maintenance. KHI-YYZ is also down to 1x from 2x due to same reason.

true. I had booked LHE-AMS via IST with PIA (in March 2024). LHE-IST sector was cancelled with only alternative in offer to switch to ISB. I opted for refund.

PIA has become an airline that cancels flights because it cannot pay for fuel.

Its accounts are being frozen by FBR because it has not deposited taxes that we paid on our tickets.

It has not paid CAA billions.

How do you expect PIA to attract passengers in such a situation.

I am surprised anyone is flying on PIA.

PIA is only left with captive customer / traveler. Basically those people who have no choice but PIA.
