PIA has issued a circular for employee holding CPL with IR. and below 45 years of age to apply for change of job

Job Title: Cadet Pilot

Department Description: Applications are invited from PIA employees for selection/re-designation as Cadet Pilot in airline's Flight Operations Department.

The candidate must possess:

Brief Description: Intermediate (2nd Class/B Grade)/A-Level from a recognized institute.

Detailed Description:

Age: 45 years on August 2, 2022.

Professional Qualification: Valid Pakistani Commercial Pilot License (CPL)/Instrument Rating (IR) from the Director General Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirming that CPL/IR are under issue.

Shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for test/interview.

With PIA Re-designation employees as cadet pilots and AirSial hiring Sirilankan pilots when will CPL holders pilots get Jobs ?

If you do read the eligibility criteria these applicants must be CPL holders, though currently they might be employed in other positions.

A cousin of mine was a CPL almost 35 years ago and had to eventually settle to take employment in PIA traffic department. A few years later he succeeded in the interview)tests when recruitment for a new batch started. He eventually retired about 10 years ago as a Captain on A310s.
