PIA Post-Hajj flights starting from July 14.
PIA post-Hajj flights operation will continue from July 14 to August 13.
PIA through 154 flights will transport 28,080 Hajis from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. These include 17,200 under government scheme and 10,800 under private scheme.
For the convenience of Hajis, under "City Check-in" system, to avoid long queues at Saudi airports' check-in counters, flight boarding pass will be issued by PIA to Hajis before they arrive at the airport in Saudi Arabia.
City Check-in facility includes:
* Advance baggage and passenger check-in.
* No need to report to the airport 12 hours prior to the flight.
* No need for getting into long queues and airport congestion.
On July 14, five PIA flights will be operated from Jeddah to Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Multan.
All Hajis will undergo COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) upon arrival at airports of Pakistan. Arrangements have been made at airports of Pakistan for COVID-19 RAT test.
Hajis testing positive for COVID-19 will have to self-quarantine at home for 14 days.
Hajis will also undergo PCR test at airports in Saudi Arabia before boarding flight to Pakistan.
